About Young Men Camp

Young Men Camp is a week-long outdoor experience focused on helping young men grow in character, confidence, and connection. Away from daily distractions, participants take part in meaningful activities that build leadership, resilience, teamwork, and personal responsibility in a positive, supportive environment.

Held at Camp Helaman Hollow, the experience blends time outdoors with guided discussions, service-minded values, and opportunities to build lasting friendships. The camp is designed to help young men return home stronger—socially, emotionally, and personally—while creating memories that last well beyond the week.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

Gospel-centered devotionals, scripture study, prayer, and worship experiences help young men strengthen their testimonies, deepen faith in Jesus Christ, and develop habits of daily spiritual discipline.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Outdoor activities, games, and challenges encourage physical effort, resilience, and healthy competition while helping young men build confidence, strength, and teamwork.

EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Camp provides a supportive environment where young men can build confidence, learn self-discipline, develop emotional resilience, and grow through shared experiences and mentorship.

SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT

Through group activities, teamwork, and shared responsibility, young men build friendships, learn leadership skills, and strengthen their ability to work, communicate, and serve alongside others.

PRE-CAMP ACTIVITIES

All pre-camp activities are free and designed to help youth prepare spiritually, physically, and socially for camp. These experiences build unity, confidence, and excitement while giving everyone a chance to participate, connect, and grow before arriving at camp. Each activity is optional but strongly encouraged as a meaningful way to prepare for a great camp experience.

SONS OF THUNDER

Sons of Thunder is a 14-day challenge designed to help young men build strength before the storm. Through daily scripture study, quiet reflection, physical effort, and intentional outreach, participants grow spiritually, physically, mentally, and socially. The challenge runs from Sunday, February 22 through May 31, and participants may complete their 14 consecutive days at any time during this window. This is not a competition—it’s a commitment to discipline, preparation, and becoming stronger before life’s challenges come.

FLAG FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

Flag Football Tournament brings high-energy competition and teamwork to the weeks leading up to camp. Two pre-camp scrimmages will be held on Saturdays, with 7-on-7 teams created on site—no experience required and anyone can play. Tournament playoffs will take place at camp in Heber, Utah, where teams and jerseys will be officially assigned. No special equipment is needed—participants can sign up by selecting Join Tournament.

TRIBE SPIRIT CHECKLIST

At Young Men Camp, all youth are assigned into four tribes of approximately 30-40 youth each, inspired by the 12 Tribes of Israel. Each tribe prepares before camp by creating a Tribe Chant and a short skit that showcase their unity, identity, and spirit. This is all about teamwork and creativity—not competition. It’s your chance to build brotherhood, express your tribe’s personality, and come to camp ready to celebrate together.

CAMP T-SHIRT PREVIEW

Camp T-Shirts are provided free to all registered participants and will be high-quality Nike Dri-FIT shirts in adult sizes XS–3XL. Shirts will be officially assigned at camp, and a preview of the designs will be coming soon. T-shirts can be ordered by completing the camp registration form. For those who would like to test sizing before camp, sample shirts will be available—email [email protected] for details.
